Malaysia Toys & Games Fair takes off at SkyPark Terminal

Month-long fair brings branded toys and games to the Subang community

Kuala Lumpur, 12 April 2010 – Toys and games enthusiasts have a new place they can call home this month at the Malaysia Toys & Games Fair by Digital Delirium Xpo which started on 10 April – 2 May 2010.

Gleaming after it’s refurbishment of RM40million, SkyPark Terminal Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (formerly known as Subang Terminal 3) will be transformed to a toys and games playground from now until 2nd May 2010. The fair is one of the activities designed by marketing communication consultancy, Go International Group to entice those living nearby to visit and discover why SkyPark Terminal not just an airport but also a lifestyle destination!

Visitors can expect exciting activities for children, youth and the young at heart at the MALAYSIA TOYS & GAMES FAIR every weekend. The month-long fair brings together branded toys and games plus lots of exciting activities every weekend like Remote Control Drift Car Racing competitions, Giant board games, soccer video games tournaments and action figures play. There’s even a traditional games corner selling IQ Puzzles made of rattan and mangrove wood by Gerai OA (Orang Asal). Exhibitors include Hasbro represented by 1TOY (Star Wars & Transformers collectibles) as well as Passion Group (Bakugan, Megabloks) and retail partner Crefigz Collectibles. There are prizes to be given away, plus lucky draw contests every weekend!

Our vision for the Malaysian Toys & Games Fair is as follows:

· To build a vibrant community of toys and games enthusiasts

· To encourage Malaysian youth towards building teamwork and strong communities amongst enthusiasts

· To create awareness about Gen Y and digital lifestyle expressions via games – video games and non-electronic games and toys.

On 11 April, over 50 remote control drift car enthusiasts gathered at the airport terminal to compete against one another in search of the ‘SkyPark Drift King’. The winners went home with prizes contributed by SkyPark Terminal and Event Organiser, According to race organiser, Nazri, “SkyPark Terminal is a comfortable lifestyle destination for family activities. We never realized the terminal had undergone such extensive refurbishment!”.

Every Sunday evenings from 6pm-10pm, gig organizer Doppelganger Open Mic will feature upcoming singer songwriters and Indie bands at the Palms Grill & Restaurant. An open mic event means that anyone is welcome to perform. Simply email the organizer at to book your performance slot or walk-in and register. Some of the performers include singer songwriter Izzy Mohamed, folk singer Azmyl Yunor who has recently released an album called ‘Warga’, George Wong and Ariff AB.
