Cyberjaya Creates Platform to Spawn Creativity and Innovation

Cyberjaya Creative Playground – a three-day festival bringing together the elites of music, technology and gaming under one roof

CYBERJAYA, 3 October 2014 – Cyberview Sdn Bhd has announced that it will be co-hosting a three-day festival named as Cyberjaya Creative Playground (#CJPlayground) as part of the company’s efforts to spur the spirit of creativity and innovation amongst the youths.

The three-day festival, made possible through a collaboration with Go International Group Sdn Bhd and Spotgamers, will be a platform for youths to learn, inspire, discover and create new innovation and ideas. Activities planned for #CJPlayground are designed to challenge and encourage youths, and some of the content-rich programmes include live music performances by both local and international acts, a global band battle, an international panel forum featuring technologists and entrepreneurs, as well as a gaming event.

Faris Yahaya, Managing Director of Cyberview said, “Over the years, Cyberjaya has become a melting pot for Malaysians and many international companies specifically in the areas of ICT and creative multimedia content. We observed a manifestation of creative talents developing high quality content and some like Animonsta have been very successful in the industry.”

“What we aim to achieve from #CJPlayground is to bring these talents together so that they can inspire one another. We hope that through this interaction and meeting of minds, everyone can share and explore ideas, find new growth opportunities and maybe even boost their entrepreneurial skills to commercialise their creative performances, designs, products and ideas,” he added.

Faris also noted that it not surprising for a global technology hub like Cyberjaya to support a festival of this nature where music and technology are the main elements used to attract the youths. He pointed out that music has always been the best form of medium for youths to express their passion and creativity. More importantly, music has also always been an element that brings people together regardless of age, ethnicity and culture.

The Cyberjaya Creative Playground, #CJPlayground will take place from 14 – 16 November 2014 at Lim Kok Wing University of Creative Technology and Multimedia University (MMU). The programme for this three-day festival will also feature David Garpenstahl, the much sought after serial entrepreneur and former Chief Executive Officer of the world’s largest digital festival.

More details about #CJPlayground will be released at a later date. In the meantime, interested parties can go to to find out more about the activities during the festival as well as ticket prices.
